Resources for Projects and Submitted Works
Often our projects and published works have data or useful elements that cannot all be shared in the publication or presentation. This page is here as a repository for these items, organized by year.
2021 - "Optimized Tip-Sonication Temperature and Mixing using Finite Element Modeling for High-Yield Bacterial Cell-Free Extract "
LINK to executable GUI - This file allows one to run the model as an application without any need for COMSOL installation or license. To run the model please follow these steps -
1. Download file
2. When clicked on this will show a warning message, go to 'More info' and click ‘Run anyway’ (generated from COMSOL)
3. This will prompt the installation of COMSOL compiler, which will take a few minutes to download and run
4. After the compiler is installed the .exe file is ready to run, put the input values and click ‘Compute’ the model to observe maximum temperature of the system, click ‘Evaluate’ and then ‘Plot’ to observe temperature trend over time and click ‘Play Animation’ button to see an animation of the temperature map over time.
2020 - "Inexpensive Near Infrared Fluorimeters: enabling translation of nIR-based assays to the field"
LINK to fluorimeter part design.
2020 - "Automated Classification of Bacterial Cell Sub-Populations with Convolutional Neural Networks"
LINK to repository of 3 trained networks (NB, BB, and AR) and all labeled images used in this study
