Reporting
Careful note taking is essential to good science. Undergraduate students should bring their own spiral bound notebook for this course. Paid workers should use laboratory grade notebooks that will be left after they graduate (see Dr. Reuel for these).
In addition to your records, you should report results each week. Use the following templates and links to update on your work. Please make sure that all plots and data representations are 'shareable.' They do NOT need to be perfect, publication quality, but axes should be labeled and we should be able to look back on it in 3-4 weeks and recall what was going on. If you have DATA FILES in addition to your slides that you want to reference, you can either link to them in your slides or submit as zipped folder.
Naming convention: lastname_YYYY_MM_DD_GM.ext, where GM is changed to SM for subgroup slides.
Group Meeting
Purpose of weekly group meeting - to coordinate on lab matters, team building, practice talks, and to update the group on your research and get feedback as needed. Each graduate student will present 2-3 times per year. Graduate students, staff, and post-docs should present with this template: Group Meeting Template. Slides can be uploaded to the BOX folder or directly here:
